The epic story of Dracula from the author Bram Stoker follows the lives of a group of people as they try to defeat the evil vampire, Count Dracula. The unique story is written in the form of diary entries of different characters and clippings from the news papers. It begins with chronicling Johnathan Harker as he travels to Dracula’s castle in Transylvania for his business. Dracula soon manipulates Johnathan, and manages to escape Transylvania and travel across the sea to Whitby, where he wreaks havoc upon the civilians. The thrilling nature and articulate wording of the story makes it a very engaging read. Even for those who have seen any of the multiple film adaptions, it is a very surprising and signifigant mystery. The characters are described in a memorable way, and one can relate to them very easily, despite the old-fashioned dialog of the writing. All in all, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys classics, mysteries, and fantasy adventure stories.
